ROTORTJA V. AVAIPA. This match, played atßotorua on Saturday afternoon, resulted in a win for the hoine team by 14 points to 5. The scores were made up of a penalty goal kicked by Mitchell, and tries obtained by Hicks, Pelham and Burt, from the last of which a goal was kicked by Mitchell, for Rotorua, and a try obtained for Waipa by Papesch, from which Corboy kicked a goal, Mr Munro acted as referee. The Waipa team returned home by train yesterday, and are very enthusiastic over the entertainment they received on the trip, the lonal players aud other residents having done all in their power to make the trip an enjoyable one. TE AWAMDTU V. KIIJIKIIIJ. The return match, played at Te Awamutu on Saturday last, between the Te Avvatnutu and Kihikihi colts, resulted in a victory for Te Awamutu by three points to nil—a try obtained by Frank Taylor. Mr C. Bowden acted as referee.
