HEAVY GOLD RETURNS.
(BY TELICOIIAriI—PfiESS ASSOCIATION). Hokitika, Lust Night. Very heavy gold yields have been obtained from the upper beaches of the Callary River, a branch of the Waiho, near Okarito. One party of three men got lOib weighs of gold in nine days, and another party of six men got au ounce per day per man. These upper beaches are only workable iu the winter when the river is low.
