LATE MR GLADSTONE.
THE DUBLIN STATUE.
(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPVKIGHT). London, August ?.'2. Sir Chas. G-avan Duffy bas protested against the " disgraceful and disgusting " conduct of the Dubliu Corporation in refusing to allow a statue of the late Mr Gladstone to be erected in the city, and says that the Nationalists should demand that the resolution should be rescinded. The Irish Daily Independent, one of the organs of the Irish party, taunts Sir Charles with being an Englishman.
