Archbishop Walsh, of Dublin, by order of the Pope, declined to attend the laying of the founda.tiou stone of a memorial to Wolfe Tone, one of the 179 S patriots, but sent £'2o # to the fund. All sections of Irish Nationalists united in an enormous demonstration in connection with the Wolfe Tone centenary at Dublin. Special deputations, representing contingents from Australia, Africa and America, were present. A huge procession passed the birthplace of the patriot.
