SUPPOSED SUICIDE.

(i;y telegraph—press association). Auckland, Last Night. The body of an elderly man was found on the Cheltenham beach at half ebb this morning. Deceased would be about CO years of age, of medium height and military appearance, and was clothed in dark serge. The initials W. G. and surname (illegiable) was found on the collar, hut there was nothing on the body to lead to identification. The body had only been in the water an hour or two. It is supposed to be a case of suicide, apparently deceased has seen better days. i\ hundred people have seen the body, but it has not yet been identified,
