The Waiuato Rugby Union matches toil .y are as follows : Cambridge v. Waingaro, ai Hamilton, and Huutly v. Ohaupo, at Ngaruawahia. All members and intending members of the Rover Football Club are requested to attend at Sydney Square this afternoon, when teams picked from those present will indulge in a practice. WELLINGTON V. AUCKLAND. The match between the representatives of these two provinces will be played at Potter's Paddock, Epsom, this afternoon, and a close game is anticipated, but general opinion slightly favours the chances of the local team. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION"). Wellington, Last Night. At a special meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union to-night, an enquiry was held into the charge against Woods, the Wellington half-back, of striking Bayly, one of the Taranaki players, in the match on Tuesday last, and for which he was ordered off the ground. The referee's report and the statement of the manager of the Wellington team were laid before the committee. It was decided to suspend Woods for the remainder of the season, and this decision has been conveyed to the manager of the team at Auckland.
