SUNDAY TRADING. Another charge of Sunday trading against Mrs Blyth, licensee of the Royal 'liger Hotel, was investigated in the Magistrate's Court to-day. The offence was alleged to have been committed on the same day as Armishaw and Cliecketts said they visited the hotel, but the present charge had nothing to do with that case, which was dismissed some days ago. Armishaw and Cliecketts stated thxt they made their visit in the even ing, while the present charge was based on sales of liquor alleged to have been made during the morning. Mr Kenny, S.M., held that the charge was proved, and fined Mrs Blyth £lO and costs, and ordered the license to be endorsed. Mr Wilford, who appeared for the defence, gave notice of appeal on points of law and fact. OBSTRUCTION ON LINE. Yesterday the driver of the midday train noticed a sleeper on the line near Waiugaroa Bridge, four miles from Masterton, but pulled up in time. The police are prosecuting enquiries.
