ZOLA'S SECOND TRIAL.
(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT). (Received May 25, 9.24 p.m.) Paris, May 24. Tiie second trial of Zola has been commenced at Versailles, in connection with his denunciation of the army officials, published as a means towards securing the release of Dreyfus. M. Labori, Zola's Counsel, objected to the chango of vonu from Paris, and protested that the Paris jury was essential. The Procureur-General asked for the rejection of what hj characterised as a frivolous plea, and said the law would reach Zola, despite auy subterfuge which might be resorted to. Tho Court dismissed Zola's objection. Labori consequently appealed to tho Court for cassation, and the proceedings ended, pending the result of the appeal.
