The Canudian Government expresses satisfaction with tho amended Customs regulations enforced by America in connection with goods passing over the Stickeen River route to the Yukon goldfields. Canada desires to reciprocate at the first opportunity. The German newspapers discuss Mr Chamberlain's speech in respectful, almost sympathetic tones. Greek troops and officials have been reinstated in tho zone in Thessaly, evacuated by tho Turkish forces. Paris, May IS. In connection with the French elections, the defeat of M.M. Delafosse Daloncle and Charges has relieved M. Hanotaux of the pressure of the chief Colonial Extremists, and it is expected this will facilitate the granting of concessions to Britain in regard to tho Niger difficulty. New York, May 19. England is storing enormous supplies of coal at Esquimault.
