The football season will be opened iu earnest in Waikato thi3 afternoon, when Waingaro and Cambridge teams meet on Sydney Square, Hamilton, and those of Hamilton and Ohaupo at Ohaupo. The weather looks anything but promising for the opening games, and we hope it will prove fine" for the occasion. Mr Heather will referee iu the Ohaupo match, and it is probable that Mr \V. Hammond will take charge of the game to be played in Hamilton. A match will be played on Sydney Square on Tuesday next (Queen's Birthdiy), between the Karangahake third junior and Hamilton second teams. f ======
