BRITAIN AND JAPAN.

o JAPAN EAGER FOR A BRITISH ALLIANCE. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT). London, May 18. Lord Salisbury, in making reference to Japan, adopted a tone of marked friendliness.
