LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
AN APPEAL CASE. (IJY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Last Night. In the Appeal Court to-day argument was taken on a motion to restrain the Minister of Lands from compnlsorily taking the Hatuma Estate, Hawke's Bay, under the Land for Settlement Act, on the ground that there had not been sufficient negotiations as to the particular lands vested in Mr Russell and the Trustee respectively, and also that there had been no refusal by them to sell.
