THE WAIKATO A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
TO THE KDITOE. Sie,—ln your issue of Thursday, mention is made ot the appointment of the Executive Committee of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association. It is worthy of note that, with the exception of Mr ,Huine, the Hamilton banker, the farmiug districts of Ngaruawatata, Hamilton, Ohaupo, Te Awamutu, Kihikihi, and also the Waipa and .Raglan districts, are totally unrepresented on the committee of management, almost the whole of whicli is centred in the Cambridge district. This is surely a curious state of affairs for an Agricultural and Pastoral Association which purports to represent the whole ot the Waikato, and certainly .does so as remembership. A feeling is gaining greund that the- agricultural show, which is the chief outcome of the Association's operations, is practically a Cambridge function, held in Hamilton to ensure a large attendance of the public, and whilst this impression is allowed to continue, the Association will never become a very powerful or representative one.—l am, etc., A Waipa Farmee.
