SPORTING.
SALE OF RACEHORSES. On Saturday Messrs Buckland and Sons' held a sale of blcod stock at Green Lane, Auckland. Porangi Pata; was knocked down to Mr W. Perceval at 200 guineas and the Sharper became the property of Mr T. VVyllie, junr., at 50 guineas. A bay filly by Seaton-Delavcl from Bellona, and a bay filly by the sauv sire from the mare Ellerslie, were so'd to Mr H. Ferguson, of Canterbury, at 50 guiueas each. The other lots failed to reach the reserves.
THE TAKAPUNA MEETING. (by telegraph—own correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. Thk racehorses Pinepiuetekura and Charcoal have arrived from Gisborne to fulfil their racing engagements at the Takapuna meeting.
