(by telegraph.—own correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. Business on the Exchange to-day was quiet. However, there were buyers in the market for a number of Thames mining stocks, but no business was recorded. For New Zealand Talismans 10s was offered. In standard stocks, for National Standard Insurance there were inquiries, and there were a'so buyers for Gisborne and Thames gas, Devouport Ferry, aud New Zealand Shipping. For New Zealand Drug (paid up) 48s was offered. Northern Boot were sought after at 9s 6d. Both Hikurang' and Taupiri coal were in demand at late quotations.
