CONCILIATION BOARD.

(by telegraph.—OWN correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. A SITTING of the Conciliation Board was held today at the Supreme Courc Buildings to consider the dispute between the bakers and the men. The men's chief demands were for 54 hours a week, minimum wages as follows :—Fore hand, Is per hour ; second hand, lOd ; third hand, 9d ; jobbers, Is ; preference of employment to be given to members of the operative Bakers' Uniou. Mr J. Regan appeared as agent of the Auckland Co operative Bakers' Union. The Board was occupied to-day hearing his statemeut of the Union's case. The hearing will take three or four days.
