TE RORE.

Threshing. Mr Hutchinson's fine threshing and chaff-cutting plant, which has for some years worked through our district, giving every satisfaction as regards clean work, has again just completed its rounds, and considering the dry and unfavourable season for grain crops, the yields, I am pleased to be able to report, are exceedingly good. Mr Rollinson's wheat turned out 40 bushels to the acre, and MrKrippner's 38, which the men in charge of Mr Hutchinton's machine inform me is the best they h»Ye threshed out this season, and seeing that they have worked through Kihikihi, Te Awamutu and other districts, it speaks well for our district as a grain growing one. A considerable quantity of the oat crop has been chaffed, and is being sent mostly to the goldfields' market. Mr Meadway of this district (not Paterangi, as stated by your Ohaupo correspondent in Tuesday's issue), is sending off some 30 tons, which runs only 22 bags to the ton. It will also be very hard to beat. (Own Correspondent).
