SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
OTOROHANGA. Thr following gentlemen were elected on the 25th inst., as the Otorohangu School Committee for the ensuing year : Messrs J. W. Ellis (Chairman), C. J. Johnson, H. Burnand, K. Green, W. Cowley, W. Simpson Mid T. Turner.—(Own Correspondent). TE RORE. The annual meeting of householders was held hereon Monday evening last and was fairly well attended. Mr Lee, in the chair, who called upon the Chairman of the outgoing committee to read his annual report and balanco-sheet, both were unanimously adopted. The election of the new committee was then proceeded with. The following being duly nominated :—Messrs D. Munro, D. Lee, J. M. Krippner, J. Bell, P. Rice, D. McKinnon and G. Totty, and the number not having exceeded the number required, they were duly elected. A vote of thanks moved by Mr J. Munro, seconded by Mr D. Munro, to the Chairman of the outgoing committee (Mr Totty) for his services during the past year, was carried unanimously. At a meeting of the newly-elected committee, held immediately afterwards, Mr Totty was re-elected Chairman. — (Own Correspondent). WHATAWHATA. The aunual meeting of householders in the Whaiawhata School district was h Id on Monday evening, there being rather a poor attendance. The secretary (Mr Blackett) read the statement of accounts, which showed a credit; balance of £3 in hand. The uccounts were adopted. The following householders wero then elected a School Committee for the ensuing year :—Messrs T. C. Blackett, W. L.\xon, M. Fitzgerald, J. Parkes, sen., A. M. Ferguson, W W. Higginson and P Iwerscn. At a subsequent meeting of the committee, Mr Blackett was reelected chairman and secretary. The committee intend to ci ecfc some new fences round the school and effect other necoasary repairs.—(Own Correspondent). WAITRTUNA At a meeting of householders of the Waitetuna School District, held in the echoolroom ou Monday, 25th April, the attendance was small. The fo 1 lowing gentlemen were chosen as a committee for the cusuing year : Messrs R. V. Smith, C. Sweetman, E. B. Hill, J. La Trobe and G. Moon. At the committee meetiug held afterwards Mr K. V. Smith was re-elected Chairman. (Owu Correspondent).
