UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS.
(BY TELEGRAPH—PIIES.S ASSOCIATION). Dunedin, Thursday. The Senior Scholarships have been won by L. E. Williams (Otago), Latin ; G. E. Thompson (Otago), English and French ; C. M. Laverty (Canterbury), French and German ; P. H. Watts (Auckland), mathematics ; H. F. Skey (Otago), physics ; T. A. Hunter (Otago), mental science ; E. F. Johansen (Canterbury), political science ; Miss Olivier (Canterbury), biology ; R. W. Allen (Auckland), chemistry. The Tinline Scholarship has been gained by Miss Bauchop (Otago). The Senate recorded the following as having passed in Roman law and international law :—R. H. Turton (Otago), W. C. Sproule, Miss E. Henderson, F. J. Courteney and F. VV. Wake (Canterbury). H. McSherry (Canterbury), was recorded as having passed the examination for barristers and general knowledge. A number cf passes in various subjects were recorded, but ail are Otago student?.
