ACCIDENTS.

On Wednesday an old lady named Mrs Wilson, who belongs to Te Aroha. was brought down to the Waikato Hospital, having broken her thigh through falling dowa some steps. This, wc believe, is a very serious case, on account of the great age of the patient (75 years), and the fact that the accident occurred some eight or ten clays ago. Ou Thursday a Maori named Bawhiri, who belongs to the Great Barrier, was brought down by train from Otorohanga for admission to the Waikato Hospital. The unfortunate man was attending a taugi in the King Country, and discharged the two barrels of his gun, both of which exploded, shattering his left hand to pieces, leaving only the little finger hanging. We understand that amputation will be necessary.
