SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

(B? TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Last Night. A serious accident happened at the Star office this afternoon to a painter, named A. Miles, who was sugaged on the building. Jn passing the revolving shaft Miles was cauglit by his apron, and was whirled round and round, and when the machine was stopped, he was apparently dead. Dr. Muckellar was shortly in attendance and found no bones broken, but it is impossible to tell what internal injuries were recehed. Miles was removed to the hospital iu a semi-consci-ous state.
