EASTER SERVICES.

At St. Peter's( Anglican) Church,Hamilton, ou ITaster day the building was most tastefully decorated for the festival, the predominating colour used being white. The ladies who make the beautifying of God's House a labour of love had devoted much care and attention to it, and their efforts were everywhere crowned with success, but especially in the adornment of the chancel and pulpit. The services throughout the clay were well attended and were entered into with great heartiness, this being especially noticeable at evensong. The vicar occupied the pulpit at each service, and his discourses having a special reference to the occasiou were attentively listened to. The offertories, which amounted to over £lO, will be devoted towards paying off the debt on the Sunday-school site.

St. M.-.ry's (Catholic) Church had received a festal dressing for the occasion, and the taste displayed by the decorators was most pleasing. As befitted the season, full use was made of the white flowers in bloom, and a tasteful arrangement produced a most striking effect. At 11 a.m. High Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father Amandolini, who, in his sermon, made appropriate reference to the church's festival. The service, which was choral, was rendered in an excellent manner. Vespers were held in the evening, ai.d at both services there were good congregations.
