CRICKET.
TE AWAMUTU V. TUHIKARAMEA. The following players will represeut Te Awamutu in their match against Tuhikaramea, to be played at Tuhikaramea to-day : —Messrs G. Blackett, J. Case, W. Park, D. Bain, A. Carley, S. Conn, J. Mandeno, and Bowden (4). WAITEKAURI V. TE AWAMUTU. A team from Waitekauri will visit Te Awamutu on Wednesday next. The match will be played in the old cricket grounds opposite St. John's Church. The home team will be composed of the following : Messrs Blackett (2), J. Case, Bowden (4), Rcid (2), Livingstone, and R* Griffiths.
Yesterday a cricket match was played on Sydney Square, Hamilton, between the members of " Almadale" House and the Hamilton Cricket Ciub. The match resulted in a victory for Almadale after an enjoyable game by 29 runs. Almadale scored 90, the chief scorers being W. Evans (25), Macassey (19), Speight (13), and Gothorp (10). The Club replied with 61, the chief contributors being Roes (12) and Meachem (11). Almadale again went to the wickets, and at the call of time had put together 54 for two wickets. Meachem and Johnson bowled well for the Club, the latter being particularly deadly. For Almadale, Macassey and Gothorp were the best bowlers.
