CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL SPORTS.

The school children of Cambridge spent a most enjoyable day on Thursday, when their annual school sports were held in the large paddock near the Anglican Church, kindly lent for the occasion by Mr Boyce. The whole of the arrangements were most complete ; a tent had been erected, in which Mrs Swayue, her daughters, Miss Reynolds and a host of assistants dispensed creature comforts, and there was no scarcity, indeed on the other hand we are afraid there was too much, for we noticed that a considerable quantity ot food lay on the ground. Mr McNeish was a first-class starter, Messrs Dyer and Hunt gave every satisfaction as judges, and the handicapping, which hud been done by Mr McKiunon, was also very good. The following is the list of events and the winners : BOYS. Hurdle Race, 120 yards, over 12. P. Armer (4yds), 1 ; \V. West (2Ayds), 2 ; A. Boyce (Iyd), 3 100 Yards, under 12—A. McNeish (syds), 1 ; L.
