CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL COM MITTEE.
■♦ A mketing of the Cambridge School Committee was held in the Borough Chambers at Cambridge on Thursday. There were present :—Messrs G. E. Clark (Chairman), J. Hally, and J. Webber. A letter was received from the Board of Education stating that Miss Reynolds had been granted six months leave of absence, and that Miss Mandeno would be first aasistdiit, with Miss Selby—who is now at Rotorua—as second assistant. The Board asked it the committee agreed to the alteration. —The action ot the Board was approved. The quarterly returns for the period ending March 31st showed an average attendance of 188, out of 239 on the roll, the largest attendance on any one day being '212. The Chairman intimated that he should not seek re-election at the meet ins of householders to be held on the 25th insfc., and there would also be another vacancy as Mr W. 11. Wright had left the distiict
The followiug accounts were pissed for payment : —W. Souter and Co. 13s sd, T. Wells 15s, J. S. Bond £3 Os 7d, A. E. Manning 6j 6d, W. Dodd £1 4s, J. Webber 2s, R. Brockelsby 4s, W. McFarlane 19s, R. Morse £1 3s. That concluded the business.
