MR W. J. HUNTER'S CAMBRIDGE
SALE. Mi; W. J. Hunter had a very good sale atCambriduc on Saturday. The yards were full of cattle, and they were uearly all dold before the conclusion of the auction All the beef yarded was sold at good prices, fat cows bringing from £3 5s to £4 5s ; yearling to 18 months' steers made from 37s to £2, and calves went at from 9s to 15s, which was a very low price, but everyone is trying to get rid of surplus stock, dreading the forthcoming winter. There appeared to be a good demand for dairy cows, springers making up to £5; over a dozen were sold. A quantity of produce was disposed of at satisfactory prices, but there was very little doing in horses.
