CHARGES OF ROBBERY.

(BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Last Night. At the Police Court Jeremiah Driscoll, John Herrington and Thomas Wilson were charged with stealing a bottle of cloves and four bottles of hop beer, the property of Alfred Pickrcll, the licensee of the Ellerslie Hotel, also with robbing William McKiustry of the sum of 12s 6d with personal violence. Driscoll was dismissed on both charges and Wilson on the first count, on which Herrington was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. On the second charge Herriug ton and Wilson were committed to take their trial at the next sessions of the Supreme Court.
