KIHIKIHI TOWN BOARD.
THE monthly meeting of the above Board was held in the Town Hall on Fiiday last. Present: Cri. Tristram (chairman), Elmsly, Dinnecn and Corhoy. Correspondence. —Letter from Mr Swarbrick, HamiltOD, re necessary legal steps to be taken for closing streets. Resolved that the Clerk obtain fiom Mr Swarbrick tho necessaiy resolutions and forms of notice.—Letter from Waipa County Council, re keeping in order of water-tables and sinks, to the effect that the Town Board was responsible. Resolved that the Clerk reply, referring the County Council to their letter to the Board of November 19th last, in which they acknowledged their share of the responsibility. Letter from Captain Jackson, S.M.,in reply to the Board's request for his inspection of the streets which are required to be closed. Resolutions.—The following resolutions were passed :—That the timber left over at the well and pump in Gallowaystreet be sold ; that Mr Fisher be notified that his contract for road work must bs commenced with-'n seven days; that Cr. Elmsly be authorised to expend the sum of 15s in improving the hill in Walmsleystrcct; that Cr. Dinncen 1c authorised to have some filling-iu and earthwork done near the school pump ; that the Clerk write and instruct Mr E. deC. Drury, Hamilton, to prepare plans of the streets which the Board propose to close. Accounts.—The following accounts were passed for payment: Town Clerk, £6; S. Temple, £5 O.s 9d ; J. Kennedy, £1 6s 6d ; J. Gardner, 4s ; J. Klmsley, 3a 2d—total, £l2 14a 5d
