TE AWAMUTU.
Rangiaohia Roud Boaed. —The usual monthly meeting of the Rangiaohia Road Board was held in the Board's < ffice on Sa urday last. There were present : Messrs \V. H. Mandeuo (chairman), R. Burke, Geo. McKiuder and Roger Kay. The Chairman stated that the dispute in connection with the draiu running through Voice's property on the Te Awamutu-Rangiaohia Road, had been placed in Mr Swarbrick's hands to be attend to.—lt was resolved that the amount of rates owing on Mrs Ralph Shaw's property at Ohaupo, be remitted.—lntimation was received that " thirds " amounting to the sum of £7 lis 4d was due to the Board in connec tion with the property on the .Ohatipo Road —The credit balance at the bank at date of meeting was £79 8s sd. —The Clerk was instructed !o take the necessary steps for the annual election of the Board. —The accounts passed for payment were : Beirsley and Bygrave £7 3j o'd, J. Spragg £5 12s. Football Club. —The annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Football Club took place iu Lewis' Hotel on Saturday evening last. There was a fairly good attendance of members present. The secretary, Mr S. Lewis, r?ad his report and balance-sheet for the past season. The balance-sheet showed receipts £5 3s and expenditure a like amount. The club have played seven matches in the season—won two, drawn two, and lost three. The officers elected for th.a enduing year were : —President, Mr P. O'Connor. Vice piesidents : Messrs H and J. Goodf«ilovv, J. O'Connor, M. Laurie, J. Bathurst, J. Park, C. J. Storey, Geo. Blackett and J. Phillip?. Captain, Mr J. Cruiekshank ; vice-cap-tain, Mr J. North. Committee : Messrs H. Mandeuo, F. Bowden, S. Bond and A. Carley. Secretary and treasurer, Mr D. Bockett. The member's fee for the year was fixed at 2s GJ. The s-ecretary was instructed to write and thank Messrs Goodfellow Broj. for use of their field during the past season. Accident.—A painful accident happened to Mr Harry Mandeuo, of the " Planes," during last week. When riding along a slippery part of the avenue leading from the house his horse fell, rolling on to its side, pinning its unfortunate rider to the ground, and it was not till after a good deal of persuasion that "Harry" got his steed to release him from his awkward position. Fortunately no boucs were broken, but the ankle was badly crushed.—(Own Correspondent).
