(BY telegraph.— own correspondent). Napier, Last Night. Fine weather was experienced for the opening day of the above meeting. The following are the results : Autumn Handicap.—Tirant Dean, I ; Martyrdom, 2 ; Unique, 3 Woodstock was scratched. Won easily by three lengths. Time', lm. 455. Dividend, £3. Hurdljs.—Sultador, 1 ; Rh'no, 2 ; Sylvanus, 3. All started. Plain Bill ran round the third hurdle. Sultador won eisily by two lengths. Time, 2in. 27s D.vidend, £l2 9s. Cup, of 400sovs. One and a-half mile.--Douglas (Ist 111 b), I ; Zanella (Sat 101 b), 2 ; Primula (7*t 111 b), 3 Tirant d'Eau and Golden Plover were scratched. This was a splendid finish, all the horses being bunched on entering the straight. Douglas won by a good length. Time, 2m. 39 1 oth s. Dividend, £3 Bs. High Weight Welter.— Tenghae, 1; Pansy, 2 ; Golden Plover, 3. Won by half a length. Time, lm. 545. Dividend, £lO 17s. NORSERY Hamjica p. —Tigress, 1 ; Victoria Cross. 2 ; Dasher, 3. Dividend, £3 B*.
