AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.
(by telegraph—own correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. There was a better demand at the Exchange tc-day for low-priced shares. In Ohinemuri companies few sales were reported. Waihi Consols have an upward tendency, sales being made at 3gd, cat which price there were further buyers. Rising Sun, Waihi Extended, Stanley and Teutonic shares werd all asked for at low rates. Grand Junction has a steady demand at los ; Talismans were inquired for at 9s 3d ; Woodstocks, 20s. Buyers also came iu for Waihi Silvertons at 4s, and Waihis at £4; in neither case were sales effected. Standard stocks, with the exception of insurance, had an «xcellent demand, £l4 15s being offered for Auckland Gas (old issue), 40s for either Thames or Gisborne. Nearly all coal shares had steady buyers. River Plateß were still wanted at 16s ; Northern boot, 9s ; New Zealand Drug, 48s 6d, tor paid-up shares ; 35s for contributing. The Waihi monthly return is £11,241 from 2859 tons ; New Zealand Talisman, £1291, from 400 tons ; New Golconda, £BO from twelve loads ; Royal Oak, 728 oz. bullion, from 29 tons quartz, and 123 lb picked stone.
