Ottawa, March 8. Denial is given to the report that the United States troops have been ordered to lower the Canadian flag at the White Pass.

A Renter's telegram states that Sir J. Pauncefote, the British Ambassador to America, has promised President McKinley to sitisfactorily adjust the incursions of British troops into Alaska, and the hoisting of the Canadian flag in the White Pass, if it is proved to be across the Canadian border.
