A KNOTTY POINT. (Bl TELEOEAJPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT). Wellington, Last Night. Applications have been received from two married Chinese women for the removal of the poll-tax of £IOO, on the grouud that they married naturalised Chinamen on board ship before landing in New Zealand. The requests have been rcfened to the Crown Solicitor for his opinion.
