London, March 1. In tho House of Commons, discussion on Mr Labouchere's amendment for reducing the army expenditure was continued. Lord Charles Beresford advised the adoption of new quickfirin"- guns similar to those in course of manufacture for tho French and German Governments. Mr Brodorick, Secretary to the "War Office, intimated that the Government were considering the question of adopting guns of a similar type, but would not decide the matter hurriedly. The House rejected Mr Labouchere's amendment.
