PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.

The above Board met.at Cambridge on Saturday. There were present:—Messrs E. Allen (Chairman), W. Scott, D. Caley and T. Walker. Thk Pukekura Road.—Letter from Mr W. Vosper drawing attention to the bad state ot the above road from his gate to the top end of it. He sta'ed it wanted re-forming and gravelling all the way, and a cutting was ueeded through a small hill. A set of pipes was also required, for after heavy rain there was a lagoou for about half a mile along the flat part of the road.—The Board had supplied Mr Bridgman with a set of pipes to put under this road some considerable time since, and it was stated tiny were still lying on the side of the road where they were delivered. It was decided to inform Mr Biidgmnn that if the work M'as not completed forthwith the Board would take over the pipes and do the work itself and charge him with the cost.—The Chaii man aud Mr Walker were aathorised to get the necessary work done to make the road passable. Innrsfallen Road.—The Board resolved to pay half the cost of repairing this road, provided the Waip i County Council will pay the other hal.' Cambridge West.—The Chairman Mas deputed to get about two chains of the road near Mr Hyatt's raised. Puahi Road.—lt was rtsolved to call tenders for reforming this road and clearing out a portion of the drain alongside it; also for making about 40 chains of new drams —Mr Walker wiU-ihow the woi k. Pukekura Redoubt Road.—lt wis decided to call tenders for gravelling about 25 chains of this road at the ra'e of six yards to the chain. Accounts.—The following accounts were passed for payment: W. Harris, £•23 3* 4d ; W. Souter and Co , £4 2s 9d; Jas. Nickle, £8 18s 6d ; Waikato Argus, 12s.

The Bank Chakge.—lt was resolved not to sign the authoiity received from the bank, agreeing to a charge for keeping the Board's account.

Next Meeting.—lt was resolved to meet again tbat day three weeks, in the Oddfellows' Lodge-room.
