(litf TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Last Night. The Gum Commission has reached Ohaewai. The witnesses expressed the opinion that a residental qualification should be neces3ary before men were allowed to dig gum ; also that the Austrians sent three fourths of their savings home. It was stated that one man was appointed with every gang of Austriaus who emigrated, to see that the money advanced for their passages by the lending bank in Trieste, was returned.
