(k\ TELEORAPU. —OWN correspondent). Auckland, List Night. As old colonist, who arrived in New Zealand half a century ago, died this mQ.Tiing at her residence, Mount Alb-rt, in the person of Mrs Jane Phillips, wife of Mr John Phillips, of Messrs W. Phillips and S.ms, Queen- treet. The decoared wis the daughter of the lite Mr Francis White, and arrived here in the year 1840. She was at Hokianga in the days of the Maori war.
