(l)Y TEiJfOKAI'II. OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Lust Night. Inquiries were made today on the Exchange for a number of higher priced (stocks, but at prices that did not lead to business. Waihi Grand Junctions wire inquired for at 17", but the lowest seller asked 19d. Woodstocks were asked for a f , and Waitekauiis at 325. Talismans were a little easier, being offered at 10s (3d, t! e best bid being 9s Gib Thames stocks showed no change, with the exception of Victoria?, which were a shade firmer. A good demand existed for standard stocks, but no transactions were imported.
