We are to have a novel entertainment in the Town Hall this evening, will be s.cn by an advertisement appearing in tod .y's Argus, Dr. Helen Unniaby, eclectic physician and surgeon, now on a short visit to thi3 distiict, wi I give a phrenol'gical entertainment in aid of St John's Anglican Church. During the evening character readings from the face and de--1 ncations of character (phrenologically) blindfold ; also ladies ami gentlemen coupled for maniage, subj els from the audience. AN though the notice is very short, a bumper house is expected, and these who are fortuna'e enouch to see the advertisement in time, should not miss coming. Bijou Company.—The talented Bijou Comedy Company played in this township last Thursday and Friday evenings. The at'endance on both nights was very fair, and all seemed to have enjoyed the play, at least they say that th<y had their shilling's worth. Frost.—Like other parts of the district, we had a severe f'osb here last week. The damage done to the potatoes, maize and other stmihr crops was very considerable. The crops in the low lands are completely ruiued. Social.— At a meeting of St John's vestry, held during last week, it was decided to ho'cl a church social about the end of this month to welcome the Rev. Mr Kay 11.—(Own Correspondent).
