ENGLAND V. AUSTRALIA. The fourth test match was concluded on Wednesday, and resulted in a victory for the Colonials by eight wickets. The second innings of tho Englishmen closed for 2G3 and the Australians, requiring 115 to win, succeeded in getting tho required number with tho loss of two wickets. The following are tho scores : Englishmen. First Innings 175 Second Innings.

Darling, b Hay ward, c Druce ... 29 Hill, Ibw, b Hay ward 0 Gregory, not out 21 McLeod, not out 64 Extra 1 Total, for two wickets 115 Prince Ranjitsinbji, in the ooorse of an interview aft r tho match, stated: —"I have no hesitation in saying that the Australians won this match on their superior all-round play. I reckon it to be the best performance of an Australian team that I have ever seen. Of cou'se, the toss had something to do with it, but wo were beaten fairly and squarely by a Bide that played a better game all round " The four test maches played have resulted as follows : First: Won by tho Englishmen by nine wickets. Second: Won by tfe Australians by an innings and 55 runs. Txird : Won by tho Australians by an innings and 13 runs. Fourth : Won by the Australians by eight wickets. The fifth, and final, match will be commenced at Sydney on tho 25th inst.
Memberu of the Hamilton Cricket Club are requested to roll up for practice this afternoon at Sydney Square. As the second round of the cup matches commences next Saturday, it is hoped that there will be a good muster.
