{b\ telegraph.—own correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland bowlers who took part in the Northern Bowling Association's tournament at Napier returned home in the Waihora yesterday morning. Palmerston North carried off the banner for the inter-club matches, while Bluff Hill, a Napier team, won the championship mainly owing to the splendid skipping of Laing. The Auckland Bowling Club team throughout were unsuccessful, only winning six matches in the mter-club, and six in championship. The Pontonby team mice a good show in the championship, and had hard luck in losing to Feildiug and Deronport. Devonport had seven wins and five losses in the chan.piouship, B. Eagleton playing a srroug game as skip.
