THE ENGLISH MAIL.
(BY telegraph.—own corbespondbnt). Auckland, List Night. TheR.M.S. Muana arrived at 11 a.ni. from San Francisco, Honolulu and Apia, after a smart passage of 18 days 47 minutes, including stoppages. The voyage was uneventful except for an incident which occurred on Sunday last. About 4.10 p. m. on that day the cry of " man overboard " was raised, ami it was found that an A.B. named Alfred Robinson, whilo engaged in setting the main staystail, had been knocked into the water by a rope. The vessel was stopped and a boat lowered, Robinson, who is a splendid swimmer, in the meantime swimming about waiting to be picked up. He was got on boird after 15 minutes, immersion, none the worse for his involuntary plunge, in fact he seemed rather to enjoy the experience.
