WELLINGTON RACING CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING. FIRST DAY. Wellington, Saturday. In the morning the weather waa not at all promising for the first day's racing of the Wellington Bacing Club's Summer Meeting, and a drizzling rain, which was threatening, began to fall just before the Cup was run, and continued with but slight intermission throughout the afternoon. The attendance of the public was large, upwards of 4000 people being on the Hutt course. The sum of £10,320 passed through the totalisator, as compared with £9371 on the corresponding day last year.
