LAND IN THE KING COUNTRY.
TO BE OPENED FOR SETTLEMENT.

Auckland, Last Night. The Star's Wellington correspondent states that a very large area of land, recently purchased by the Government in the King Country, will diiring the present year he thrown open for settlement, including some of the best agricultural land and limestone country, between Otorohanga and Mokau.
