KIRIKIRIROA ROAD BOARD.
The Kirikirkoa Roid Board met at the Chambers, Hamilton East, yesterday. There were present: —Messrs J. Gordon (chai.m.ui), W. Chitty, Jno. Primrose and T. Pater.on.
Overdraft.-Thecleik reported that the i"de'<tcdne*( of the Board amounted to ;t'3'J 3s iid.— This was considered moat satisfactory. Rating on Unimproved Valuks.— The Whangnmarino Road Board wrote askng the Board to co op:rate with them in inducing the Wnik&to County Council to bring into force the Act far rating on unimproved Values.—After a long discussion it was decided to request ths Whangamaruio Board to ask Councillor Moßne to bring tin matter up at the next meeting of the W.iikat.> Couuty Council, and explain the Board's reasons for coming to the conclusion they have regarding rating on unimproved values. Bank CIRCULAR.--The clerk reported that in reply to the circular from the Bank of New Z almd re the charge of £1 Is yearly for kwp'ng the account, he had written acquiescing in the arrangement.—The action of the clerk was approved of by the Board. NlOOli'a Road.-Aft'r hearing the re port of Mr Pa'erson regarding Nicol's Road, at lvomokorati, the Board came to the conclusion that nothing could be done in the way of opening up a road to Mr Nicol's back sctions.
Taiiuei Road.—ln his icport the Foreman of Woiks suggested that tenders should be called at once for claying 550 chains of thcTauhei Road - The Chairman pointed out the necessity for doing such work in season, and the Board adopted the suggestion of the Foreman.—Messrs Gordon and Primrose were appointed a committee to receive and dpal with tenders.
Accounts.—Only two accounts were pissed for payment: John Franklin £lO, and P. Henry Ss. .
