BUSH FIRES.

PORTION OF NELSON DEVASTATED. (BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Nelson, Last Night. A bosh fire at Bainham has devastated the settlers' holdings, buildings, etc, for a stretch of four miles by two. The places destroyetl are: Walker Bros.' 1 large sawmills, large stable and eight workmen's huts : Cooper's sawmill and men's huts, and 60,000 feet of sawn timber ; Harvey's dwelling house ; Bainham Public Hall; Golcting's barn ; W. G. Graham's barn and this season's hay, while almost every' house in the settlement suffered damage. The settlers' crops, fences, grass and orchards suffered considerably. Ou the same day a fire started at the bottom of Wakefield Gul'y, and destroyed Johnston's United Battery shed, with vnluablc battery plant. The loss is considerable.
