SUICIDE OF A FARMER.
(BY TKLEGKAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Pahiatua, Last Night. On New Year's morning a village settler at Mineatainoka, named James Henry Chapman, hanged himself in his eqwshed. lie went to bed on the previous evening apparently in good spirits, and there is no evidence lo shew any cause for the act. He -.\as 40 years of age, and leaves a wife and six children His life w.is insured in the Government office for £2OO.
