Wellington, December 15. —Weather forecast for 24 hours from !) a.m. this day : —Wind : Between north-east.and north and west at all places northward of Timaru and Queenstown; between north and west and south-west elsewhere. Barometer: Falling everywhere. Sea : Heavy on western coast southward of New Plymouth after twelve horns, also on east coast southward of Napier. Tides : Good on western coast south of New Plymouth, increasing thence northward, also on east coast south of Napier ; moderate elsewhere. Strong northerly winds are probable at most places north of Napier and New Plymouth ; northerly gales thence south to Timaru and Queenstown, and westerly gales probable with rain in the south.
