In New South Wales, as with us, enormous losses have been caused to orchurdists bythesupplyof trees not being true to name" In many instances a man has sunk his all in the planting and cultivation of an orchard only to find in a few years that he has some acres of unprofitable trees, and quite a different sort from those he ordered. To remedy this, Mr Smith is thinking seriously of establishing large Government nurseries for the supply of all kinds of fruit trees, vines, etc., guaranteed true to name, to intending fruit-growers.
