THE WAR INDEMNITY.

London, November 14. According to Router's telegram the Porte has been warned by Russia that in the event of the Jreek indemnity due to Turkey in respect of the late war being applied to the reorganisation of the Turkish naval armaments, Russia will demand the payment of the balance of the Russo-Turkish war indemnity, amounting to £30,800,000. Constantinople, November 15.

The Porle has notified the Embassies that the Ottoman Bank has advanced £BOO,OOO in anticipation of the payment of the first instalment of the Greek indemnity. One-fourth of this will be assigned towards tbe cost of evacuating Greek territory.
